Mac Mineralise Skin Finish In Gold Deposite

11/18/2015

I'm extremely late to this highlighting party because i dint want to invest much but I've wanted this for the longest time.  It was a spur of the moment purchase for me because I detest gold but for some reason I gravitated towards Gold Deposit Mineralize Skin finish which is described by Mac as a soft reflective golden-bronze.  This applied as a metallic orange with an overabundance of glitter. Not shimmer, folks. Straight Up. Glitter. Naturally, this had a lot of fall-out (as you can see from the sides of the container). Naturally, the glitter got everywhere.

Packaging: it is enclosed in a round transparent lid making it easier to tell your Mineralize Skin Finish apart, especially if you’re an avid collector. The brand name and product type is boldly printed on the top which snaps tightly shut.

Formula
The finish on this shade is more metallic, and the texture is a little sparkly, so it’s not as smooth as it could be.

Application: Apply with a brush using a light hand as a little goes a long way

Overall thoughts:
It looks beautiful but very metallic in the pan. I almost didn't buy it, but the lady at the counter said that with my skin tone it would give me that J.Lo glow. Who doesn't want that? I'm so glad I listened to her! On my NC50 skin this bronzer/highlighter shows up beautifully. They are amazingly soft and insanely pigmented. As you can see in the photo above, with one swipe of my finger I get an incredible color pay-off.  However, a little goes a long way. It's easy to end up looking like a glittering disco ball if you aren't careful, so apply a minimal amount first and add more if needed. I use this product to highlight the high points of my cheeks, nose, cupids bow and sometimes lightly on my forehead as my *fivehead* does not need any more attention than it already gets.

Price:
