Review: Mac Pro longwear Concealer

Concealers have never been a huge part of my makeup routine, as I either tend to skip on the step altogether or use them for the purpose of highlighting.

The hunt for the perfect concealer is almost as hard as the hunt for the perfect foundation. According to mac, the prolong wear concealer is a  lightweight fluid concealer that provides medium to full coverage with a comfortable, natural matte finish. Colour-true formula lasts up to 15 hours. Helps conceal and correct the look of under-eye circles, and discolorations.

clear glass vial with a matte black pump. . Every time I drop it my heart skips a little beat.

It has a creamy feel when dispensed, and it’s not too thick–there’s a good consistency to it.

Application: Apply to skin directly using your finger or a concealer brush. Blend with finger, sponge or brush.

Overall thoughts:  It’s longwearing, lightweight, and medium to full coverage, it’s great for blemishes, redness and dark circles, it doesn’t crease and the little tube lasts absolutely ages. This concealer does last a miraculous twelve hours, though, without creasing or budging. It is a very dry product, and if you have a lot of dryness around the areas you’re trying to conceal, this may emphasize those areas rather than hide them. The pump dispenser makes it really tricky to dispense only what you need. Inevitably, you end up getting much more than you need, and trying to put it back in is a chore, which adds up to a waste of money. It also requires a bit more time than usual to blend. The only downsides for me is the pump that dispenses too much product. Even so, I don’t think I could live without this concealer and I will forever repurchase it!
