Lets Talk Bases: #1 Revlon colorstay foundation

1/16/2015

The Revlon colorstay foundation has been in my collection for a fair while and it doesn't receive enough praise or admiration. It’s a staple foundation that I fall back on time and time again and I either wear it alone or mix it. I have Super Oily Skin. My face can literally look like I rubbed oil on top of my makeup, but thanks to Revlon ColorStay I no longer have this problem

This foundation can look really cakey on my skin, especially around my t zone if i apply more than one layer so i only used one layer. i use the shade caramel in combination/oily.
I would say this is a medium coverage foundation with a matte finish to your skin. It isn't dewy however it still lets your skin breathe through and look natural.

I apply this with my Real technique stippling brush to give a flawless finish. Every time I use this foundation I am impressed with how my skin looks, blemishes are covered, skin tone is more even and the color match gives a hint of warmth to my skin without leaving a line around my neck. This has easily made the cut into one of my top five all time favorite foundations.

Pros :
  • Its long lasting
  • Its affordable
  • It has great coverage
  • its light weight

Con:
  • It has a weird smell
  • It can be hard to blend
  • it can be messy to apply for it does not have a pump
  • it drys quickly

Packaging:
  • It comes in a transparent thick bottle with a black cap

Price:
 N3000-3500

Overall if you're looking for a foundation for Oily/Combo skin that wont block your pores, and gives you a longer wear than other foundations I say get this one!

  1. I love this foundation but I find the application very uneven. It dries up so quickly I just can't deal
